Today is a very special day for my small startup studio, JB Game Dev. We’ve moved into a new office, and are working on an exciting new game. Our previous focus has been on developing and self publishing mobile games, and we’ve decided to shift our focus onto the PC and console gaming markets.
Some back story:
JB Gaming was formed in late 2014, as I said goodbye to a previous employer and decided to strike out on my own. With some private investment, we made it happen: I hired a full time artist to create artwork for the video games I would develop. In March 2015 we released Beast Bound, a free-to-play mobile RPG, and in October 2015, we partnered with Make-A-Wish(tm) Nebraska and released Udder Panic, a casual game about abducting cows.
After exploring the free-to-play mobile world, it’s safe to say that it’s a hard market to enter. Although I don’t think the PC and console world will be any easier, I think it will better suit JB Game Dev’s flare.
I look forward to updating the world on our inner and outer workings from here on out. Please stay tuned and thanks for reading!
